Critical Illness Claim - "Never in a million years did I think I would actually use it."

Below is the story of Miss Merchant from London who was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She is currently undergoing treatment. Following surgery, she will be pushing through to make a recovery:
"I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer on 3rd December 2020,
It was a complete shock as only a few months prior I was asking a smear test nurse to just check something that was "niggling" me!
If I'm honest I didn't really think about claiming until the initial shock settled.
I took out critical illness cover as a "just in case", " you never know" type of thing - never in a million years did I think I would actually use it!
Still I'm so very thankful that I did, as it has helped me to clear off debts and will cover me in my time off work, post surgery and help me to rest a little better whilst in recovery.
The claim process and service provided by Vita was very professional and easy to go through and if I did not have it in place, then my situation may have been a struggle.
I would encourage EVERYONE and ANYONE to take out critical illness cover, as you really don't know what's around the corner."
